Job Description
The Opportunity:
This contract role is for a contract software test manager based in Dublin city centre.
The Company:
This leading financial services organisation is re-writing software systems in line with recommendations set out by the Central Bank Reform Bill 2010, which provides stability of financial systems and effective regulation of financial institutions and markets, while ensuring that the best interests of consumers of financial services are protected.
The Project:
This significant project involves migration of all software applications to a new environment.
The Test Manager resource will take instruction from the software project manager / lead and will in turn lead the software testing and QA team.
This will include full testing of all applications and any system upgrades or amendments which may be required, including an operating system and database upgrade.
The Ideal Candidate:
The Test Manager resource should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing and reporting on software test cycles, and will be experienced in functional and performance testing of complex .NET, Sharepoint and Web based applications and migration between environments on the Microsoft suite of products from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 and upgrading the database from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008.
The software test manager will oversee the full scoping and preparation of detailed repeatable software test plans, automating of test cycles, regression testing and setup of test data.
