Linux SysAdmin Job – Contract 3-6 Months

Job Description

The Opportunity:
This contract role is for a Linux Systems engineer and is based in Dublin – the successful consultant will also be afforded the latitude to work from home, providing a weekly commute to Dublin is feasible.

The Company:
Our client is a cloud software producer who’s products are taking the market by storm. the successful contractor will enjoy a stable contract upto 6 months in length, and a wide, challenging job content guaranteed to keep you busy, and excited.

The Ideal Candidate:
The consultant shall be involved in the design and set up of cloud environments for the deployment of software products using the LAMP stack delivered by AWS, and will be well versed in the following technologies.

• LAMP platform Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (inside out)
• Previous in depth experience of configuring multiple web servers and database servers for excellent performance, and previous experience of cloud migration projects.
• Knowledge of AWS and VMWare, including snapshotting, backups etc.
• Knowldege of SAN and NFS
• Impeccable communication skills, along with troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.

There will also be some systems maintenance although this is NOT the main focus of this contract.
