Java Software Engineer

The Company:

Our client is an Irish owned software company looking for a Java software engineer. The company specializes in the development of Human Capital Management (HCM) software. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a team that allows you to take ownership of projects to completion.

The Opportunity:

As a member of the product development team you will be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle. This will include: Requirements Gathering; Design; Coding; Documenting, Testing; Implementation; Training; Documentation and Support.

Typical Job Responsibilities:

Establish project and product goals for assigned components.

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle

Lead and participate in the design of assigned components.

Design, coding and validation of work.

Responsible for the building and unit testing of code at the component level.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following:

J2EE development technologies with Ajax experience in RIA development

Indpeth  knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT.

Frameworks including frameworks such as Spring, Facelets, JSF, Primefaces/Richfaces

3 years+ post-graduate experience and a diploma, degree or masters in a computer-related discipline or equivalent computer-related technical experience is required.

SQL Server and Oracle database

Tomcat, Eclipse/Netbeans IDE’s.

Experience using build tools such as Ant/Maven and

automated build tools such as Hudson/Jenkins.

Experience of developing large scale client server enterprise applications would be a strong advantage.

Excellent communication, customer facing and negotiation skills required.

Good leadership, interpersonal and motivation qualities essential.

Detail orientated, results focused, self motivated individual willing to take ownership of the work they produce.
